AI transparency
How Zeli uses AI,
in plain English.
If you are applying for a role through Zeli, this page tells you exactly what happens, in words a person would use.
What Zeli is
Zeli is an AI co-worker built by Zeligate. She is not a person and never pretends to be one. She reads applications, holds first-round conversations by video, phone, SMS or chat, verifies documents you provide, and ranks candidates against the employer's published criteria.
What Zeli decides, and what she does not
Zeli produces scores and a ranked shortlist with the evidence for each score. A human at the employer reviews every shortlist and makes every hiring decision. Zeli never rejects a candidate on her own.
What information is used
Your application, your answers in interviews (recorded and transcribed with your consent), documents you provide for verification, and your correspondence with Zeli. Nothing is scraped from your social media. Nothing you provide is used to train third-party AI.
How decisions are made
Against a structured scorecard the employer defined before the role opened. Each criterion is scored with the evidence quoted from your application or interview. Nothing about faces, accents, tone of voice or background is analysed. The reasoning is recorded and can be shown to you on request.
Your rights
You can ask for a human to review any decision, request an alternative process without Zeli, ask what data is held about you, correct it, or ask for it to be deleted. Contact the employer or email privacy@zeligate.ai.
US roles: New York City Local Law 144
